Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 8
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- A link that would open a new tab now goes to the tab already showing that page, with a short notice and Open anyway.
- Every release now carries the latest list of revoked certificates, trusted root certificates and Certificate Transparency logs, the same data Chrome downloads, without Tark contacting Google.
Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 7
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- Security: Tark no longer trusts the eMudhra certificate authority keys that were found compromised in October 2026, nor the emSign ECC Root CA - G3 they chain to, the same as Chrome.
- Closing a tab that had live captions on no longer closes Tark.
Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 6
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- Captions history: when captions correct a wrongly guessed language, the panel no longer keeps the wrong lines next to the corrected ones.
Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 5
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- Missed a line? ☰ Earlier on the captions bar opens everything said since captions came on, each line with its time and translation, with Copy. It stays in memory only and goes when you turn captions off, leave the site or close the tab. When a call ends, the bar stays as "Captions stopped" so you can still read it.
- Captions start sooner: on the language the page's title or the first words suggest, corrected by themselves if the guess was wrong.
- The first time you turn captions on, Tark says how much it will download and waits for you to press Download. Settings → Live captions lists the first-time sizes.
- The caption box no longer changes size as new words arrive.
- Captions and their history stay out of screen shares and screenshots from the moment they appear.
Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 4
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- Live captions: a CC button on videos and calls that play sound shows what is said. Hindi, Tamil and Bengali work on any Mac; English, Spanish, French and more on macOS 26. Everything is heard on your Mac and nothing is sent anywhere.
- Translate captions into English, Hindi, Tamil or Bengali, or show the words in English letters or another Indian script.
- Captions find the language by themselves, or you pick it. They stay out of screen shares.
- The caption models download once from gettarka.com the first time you use them; Settings → Live captions manages them.
- Opening a new tab no longer squeezes the tabs.
Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 3
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- The first fully optimized build: faster, and a smaller download.
- Fixes tabs that crashed with "Aw, Snap!" (error code 6) on some busy sites.
- Downloads save straight to your Downloads folder. To be asked each time, turn on Settings → Downloads → Ask where to save each file.
- Updates now install by themselves when you quit Tark.
Tark 155.0.8059.39, revision 2
23 October 2026 · same Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- Tark updates itself: it checks gettarka.com once a day and installs a new version when you quit. Tark → Check for Updates… checks now.
- Signed by Zynclave Tech Private Limited and notarized by Apple.
Tark 155.0.8059.39
23 October 2026 · first public build · built on Chromium 155.0.8059.39
- Type Indian languages in English letters in the address bar: नमस्ते for namaste, in the scripts of the languages you choose, worked out on your Mac.
- @ sources: start with @wiki, @irctc, @kanoon and seven more to search that site directly.
- One row: tabs and the address bar share a line; the Tark sheet holds the menu.
- Tark's own pages: downloads, history, bookmarks, extensions and passwords each say in one sentence what they hold.
- uBlock Origin built in and on. No Google sign-in, sync, Safe Browsing lookups, Translate or usage reports.
- Offers to save passwords, kept on this Mac only.
- Shodhya as the search engine and new tab page.
