Tark for Linux
Tark 156.0.8078.47, revision 1, for 64-bit Linux (x64). A .deb for Ubuntu, Debian and their relatives that updates with your system, or a tarball for every other distro.
Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, Pop!_OS
Download tark_156.0.8078.47-1_amd64.deb (195 MB), then in a terminal:
sudo apt install ./Downloads/tark_156.0.8078.47-1_amd64.deb
Installing it adds Tark's apt repository and its signing key, as Chrome's .deb does, so Software Updater and sudo apt upgrade bring new versions.
Instead of the download:
curl -fsSL https://gettarka.com/apt/tark-archive-keyring.gpg | sudo tee /usr/share/keyrings/tark.gpg >/dev/null
echo "deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/tark.gpg] https://gettarka.com/apt stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tark.list
sudo apt update && sudo apt install tark
Any other distro: the tarball
Tark-156.0.8078.47-1-x64-linux.tar.xz (189 MB). Unpack it anywhere you like:
tar -xJf Tark-156.0.8078.47-1-x64-linux.tar.xz
./Tark-156.0.8078.47-1-x64-linux/tark
Once a day Tark checks here and, when there is a newer version, says so in its menu with a link back to this page. It never replaces its own files: download the new tarball and unpack it in place of the old one.
Before you install

Tark keeps your sign-in in your desktop's keyring (GNOME Keyring or KWallet). Without one, as in some bare window managers, it still works, but the sign-in is only weakly protected on disk.
Tell us on GitHub with your distro and what you did; don't include anything private.
